Viverita Discovery, a wholely owned subsidiary of ViVerita Therapeutics, is based on the Vienna Biocenter Campus. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team in precision oncology target discovery and validation in the position of a Research Associate.
The successful candidate will strengthen our team in executing novel target discovery and validation strategies. Your responsibilities

Independent execution of various genetic and pharmacologic experiments in cell culture including derivation and analysis of single cell derived clones, derivation of cell lines, phenotypic testing, and genotyping.

Execution of experiments that are key to in vivo target identification and validation.

Design and implementation of experiments for in-depth understanding of target mechanism-of-action and biomarker identification

FACS experiments including data interpretation

Molecular biology experiments, in particular DNA and RNA manipulations such as purification, molecular cloning, PCR, sequence analysis.

Data analysis and presentation in internal group meetings

Keeping up with the relevant literature
Your qualifications
-
Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology or biochemistry
-
2+ years of experience in lab-based research
-
Experience in oncology research, and experience in industry is preferred

Experience in the latest genetic pertubation techniques (e.g. CRISPR and RNAi) is required and experience with pooled genetic screening is preferred

Background in molecular and cellular biology techniques such as DNA- and RNA-manipulation, PCR, molecular cloning, Western Blot, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence

Background in mammalian cell culture such as sterile techniques, independent maintenance, transfection, transduction, and selection of cancer cell lines including analytical methods, foremost FACS.

Experience with primary cell lines, organoid culture, and in vivo models is preferred.

Good command of English and good communication and interpersonal skills is required

Ability to provide and receive timely and open feedbacks
